Ridley Fenix Carbon Disc Bike - Shimano 105 2x11 speed - Artic Grey

The quintessential “all-round” bike. It offers the perfect blend between performance, weight, strength, stiffness and especially comfort for long days in the saddle. Its unique diamond shape tubing creates reinforced edges for a robust frame with increased impact-resistance.

While the Fenix expertly handles top competition, it is also perfectly suited for the part-time racer or recreational rider in terms of performance, comfort and cost. It’s the optimal bike for tackling your next Gran Fondo or extended tour through the Flemish Ardennes.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for a high-performance endurance bike, but with a less considerable price? Meet the Fenix Disc: the more affordable sibling of our Fenix SLiC. With this all-round road bike, you’ll be able to tackle anything: from steep climbs and long descends to challenging cobblestones.

The Fenix Disc has similar riding quality and characteristics to the Fenix SLiC. The frame offers internal cable routing for a tidier look, it features the same diamond shaped down tube which provides extra stiffness and durability, and it has the same geometry.

Ridley decided to focus on keeping the retail price down during the development of the Fenix Disc while maintaining the stiffness and ride comfort of the Elite level Fenix SLiC, using other components and a different carbon fiber technology. Due to this modified carbon lay-up, the Fenix Disc frame is only 120 grams heavier than the Fenix SLiC frame.

F-Steerer

Cables at the front of your bike have a major impact on its aerodynamic performance. On the flipside, getting rid of cables at the front has an aero advantage of a whopping 10 to 14%, depending on the bike.

That's why Ridley's R&D department dedicated much time and effort into developing the D-shaped steerer tube, which integrates all front-end cables.

This uniquely shaped steerer tube allows all cables to pass through the handlebar and stem, along the flat front area of the steerer tube and down into the frame. Here the cables are completely hidden from the wind - and from your eye, leaving you with a clean looking bike that wins you speed.
