How do I know what size helmet to buy my child?
Getting the right size helmet is crucial to ensuring the safety of your kids when they take up cycling. A loose helmet could come off and leave children vulnerable, while a too-tight one could cause a great deal of discomfort. To know what size you need, measure the circumference of your child’s head by placing a tape measure just above the ear. Wrap around their head and note the measurement where the tape meets itself.
Find a helmet around that same measurement and test the fit by seeing if you can fit just one finger between the chin and the strap.
