Maxxis Minion DHRII 60 TPI Maxxterra Exo+ Folding Tubeless Tyre 27.5 x 2.6 inch

The Maxxis Minion DHR II is the rear-specific half of Maxxis's DHF/DHR II directional pairing, with wider shoulder knobs for cornering support and paddle-shaped centre knobs for braking traction. This tyre is built in Maxxis's EXO+ casing and MaxxTerra compound, available in 27.5 x 2.4in and 2.6in, sitting between the standard EXO casing and the heavier DoubleDown build in the range.

MaxxTerra Compound

• Maxxis's updated MaxxTerra rubber formulation, balancing grip, durability and rolling efficiency for trail use
• Maxxis states a 30% increase in durability and a 15% increase in traction over the previous-generation MaxxTerra compound, with no loss in rolling efficiency

EXO+ Puncture Protection

• Combines a bead-to-bead SilkShield layer with EXO sidewall reinforcement
• Maxxis states this improves tread puncture protection by 27%, sidewall durability by 51%, and pinch-flat resistance by 28% over a standard casing

Tubeless Ready

• Folding bead, tubeless-ready construction — runs without an inner tube on a tubeless-compatible rim, tape and valve
• Use tubeless-ready, tubeless road or tubular sealant only — Maxxis states sealant used in any other tyre type will void the warranty

Sold as a single tyre. EXO+ gives this DHR II a step up in sidewall and puncture protection over standard EXO, without the full weight of DoubleDown.
