Continental GP5000S TR - Folding Tubeless Ready - Black/Transparent - 700 C

The Grand Prix 5000 S TR (Tubeless Ready) : Lighter, faster and with stronger sidewalls. The new standard in road tubeless ready technology. Ride faster, in more comfort and with increased puncture protection. Made to make you better. Compatible with hooked and hookless rims

In comparison to the first GP5000 Tubeless (TL) version, the GP5000S TR is 20% faster rolling, 28% stronger in the sidewall and 50g lighter (25-622).

With the previous model already significantly improved in comparison to the old GP4000 S II model (17% in rolling resistance, 25% in puncture resistance), the GP5000S TR raises the bar in the allround road tyre market to previously unseen levels!

In the autumn of 2021, the GP5000S TR was the winning tyre at both the men's Paris-Roubaix and World Time Trial Championships, showing its versatility across these very different races with their very different demands on equipment. The GP5000S TR covers them all!!

Tubeless: our patented carcass construction is robust and impervious against damage from foreign objects. The result : versatility, lower weight and a super-attractive design. With this design, tyres can be used both tubeless or with an innertube.

BlackChili compound: Nano technology used to produce the carbon black particles that are used to reinforce the rubber compound. We refine special synthetic rubbers with natural rubber to create high performance tread mixtures.

Lazer Grip, to make you one with the road. The lazered micro profile structure expands over the tyre’s shoulder and provides outstanding cornering.

Vectran™: The benchmark in puncture protection Vectran™ is a synthetically manufactured high-tech fibre from a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran™ is a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran™ is spun from the melted liquid polymer Vectra and processed further to a multi-strand thread. Spider silk like Vectran™ has an enormous tear resistance at a very low weight: Exactly the right properties to process into a premium Continental bicycle tire as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran™ Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than the comparable nylon breaker. Vectran™ Breaker does not adversely affect the rolling resistance.

For initial mounting we recommend to use at least 30 ml of Conti RevoSeal per tyre. Then spin the tyre (wheel) to spread the Conti RevoSealant inside of the tyre and pump to the allowed maximum pressure. Check the pressure before the next ride and adjust to your desired PSI.
