A characteristic lighting concept consisting of rear, front and indicator lights, inspired by the automotive industry, ensures all-round visibility and emphasises the presence of cyclists on busy roads or in poor visibility conditions. The front and rear lights are integrated into the multi-shell design of the HYP-E and underline its premium look and feel. A remote control for the handlebars allows you to activate the indicator light, control it intuitively and signal a change of direction clearly and in good time.

Comfort in all weathers: Ventilation in the upper head area is regulated by a clever vent system: If the weather changes, you can easily close the helmet's generous ventilation openings with the VentCover. This solution is inspired by winter sports and is dedicated to carrying commuters through every season.

More protection on the e-bike: The HYP-E also fulfils the strict standards of NTA standard 8776 – the world's first safety standard developed specifically for S-pedelec riders. Helmets with the NTA standard are tested at significantly higher impact speeds, offer better protection in the area of the back of the head and temples and can absorb higher impact forces.

• 365-degree approach: The HYP-E’s lighting concept and comfort features guarantee 360-degree visibility and the best possible protection 365 days a year, whatever the weather
• Better visibility: A front light, rear light and indicator light make you visible in traffic. Choose between five different light modes for the front and rear light: Steady, Power, Flow, Pulsing or Flashing – depending on the lighting conditions and whether you want to save battery capacity.
• Wireless remote control: You can activate and control the flashing light easily and safely using the supplied rechargeable radio remote control for the handlebars. An acoustic signal on the helmet and LEDs on the remote control let you know that you are flashing.
• Weatherproof design: In good weather and in summer, generous ventilation openings ensure pleasant ventilation. In the rain or cold, you can close these openings using the VentCover in the top of the head.
• Safe companion: In addition to CE and CPSC certification, the helmet fulfils the more stringent NTA standard 8776 for S-pedelecs with stricter test criteria – thanks to the lower temple and neck protection and thicker EPS material, it is suitable for bikes with an electric motor and higher speeds.
• Custom wearing comfort: With the height-adjustable Zoom Spin adjustment system, you can adjust the helmet to the shape of your head via an adjustment wheel at the back of the head and create space for a ponytail. You can adjust the straps to be tighter or looser using the flap divider under the ears.
• Magnetic chin buckle: The chin straps can be undone with one hand thanks to the smooth-running magnetic fastener.
• Rechargeable components: You can recharge the lights on the helmet and the remote control for the flashing light using the USB-C charging cable supplied. LED displays on the helmet and on the remote control indicate the charging status.
• Easy to use: You can activate the front and rear lights using the on/off button on the back of the helmet. Press the button for approx. one second to switch on the lights. Press briefly to switch between light modes. Press and hold to switch the lights off again.
• Reliable communication: The flashing light and remote control communicate via a reliable 2.4 GHz radio signal based on OXI® wireless technology. The remote control is permanently ready for use and is activated via a radio signal from the helmet.

ABUS's Urban bike helmets series will appeal to people, who use their bike every day, see their bike helmet as an accessory or prefer simple elegance to go with their business suit.

If you want to get around town by bike, your requirements are different from those who take cycling seriously as a sport or who travel the world on their bikes.

DELIVERY

Delivery to mainland UK addresses are free for orders over £40. Except when you choose delivery to a third party (Click and Collect) there is a charge of £5.95 to cover some of the additional cost the couriers charge for this service. If you choose to collect from Fawkes warehouse there is no shipping charge.

There will an additional charge for deliveries to Highlands and Islands. 

RETURNS TO FAWKES

Whether it’s a jersey that doesn’t fit, or the colour is not quite right, sometimes you’ll need to return items to us.

If an item is 'as new' and has not been used or fitted in any way, you can return it to us by post within 90 days of delivery for a refund. Please ensure that the goods are returned in their original packaging and are in an unused condition.

Please pack the item carefully to avoid damaged during shipping.

Customers need to pay the cost of return delivery unless the item is faulty and this will be deducted from your refund, currently £3.95.

If your have a large item e.g. Child seat, Bike, trailer etc. please contact our customer service team at Guy@fawkes-cycles.co.uk to arrange the best way to return your item, the cost will be deducted from your refund.

You will not receive a refund for the retail value of any free or promotional items you are sent, and you will be charged if they are not returned.

UNWANTED ITEMS

If you change your mind on your purchase, you have a full 90 days to return it for a refund. All Goods must be unused, in a saleable condition and in their original packaging with all labels still attached.

Please pack the item carefully to avoid damaged during shipping.

There are some exclusions to our 90 day returns policy, which are detailed below:

Nutritional products or those with a best before date must be returned within 28 days*

Any customised items such as wheel builds cannot be returned*

GPS systems such as sports watches or cycle computers can only be returned if unregistered*

For hygiene reasons, any intimate garments such as facemasks, underwear and swimsuits can only be returned if the items are faulty.

We try our best to process all refunds within 14 working days. We'll refund your item via your original payment method.

You will not receive a refund for the retail value of any free items you are sent, and Fawkes may charge you for this item if you fail to return it

FAULTY ITEMS

If you feel that your purchase has developed a fault, then please contact us with photographs of the issue before returning any goods - we may be able to solve your problem without you incurring any further inconvenience.

If you find a fault with your item, send it back to us and we'll take a look at it as soon as we can. Items sent back to us will undergo an inspection and it may be necessary to send the item away to the manufacturer to confirm the fault. If we confirm a manufacturing fault, we'll happily replace or refund it.

Faulty items should be returned within a reasonable time and in a clean and dry condition. PLEASE NOTE, WE WILL NOT PROCESS DIRTY ITEMS.

Please enclose all your details and a covering note explaining the fault and any other useful details.

We'll try to get back to you within 14 working days of receipt of your parcel, although during busy periods this may take slightly longer.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

We reserve the right to recharge return carriage on items where no fault is identified.
